Analysis of key areas of development of structural transformations of industrial complexes

Abstract: The article analyzes key leads for structural transformation in industrial complexes within the context of current challenges facing Russian industry. The author examines such transformation areas as organizational and managerial transformation, formation of closed technological chains and development of import-substituting cooperation, comprehensive technological modernization and digital transformation, as well as sustainable development and energy efficiency improvement. The study explores their essence, internal content, and practical implementation aspects.

Digital lean manufacturing as a tool for improving management efficiency at enterprises in the high-tech sector

Abstract: In the context of global digitalization and increasing competition, enterprises in the high-tech sector face the need to simultaneously increase efficiency, flexibility and product quality. Traditional Lean production methods are no longer able to fully meet modern requirements without the integration of digital technologies. Digital Lean Manufacturing (Lean 4.0) combines Lean principles with Industry 4.0 tools creating synergies that minimize losses, optimize processes, and strengthen data-driven management decisions. This article examines how digital technologies transform Lean approaches providing enterprises in the high-tech sector with sustainable competitive advantages.

Conceptual aspects of strategic planning for the development of industrial complexes

Abstract: The author’s research investigates the features and practical elements of strategic planning for the development of industrial complexes in the modern economy. The study elucidates the specifics of industrial complexes as meso-level systems that integrate enterprises through cooperation-based ties. It demonstrates that their effectiveness is determined by the presence of a unified strategy, which encompasses the formulation of a target state concept, strategic benchmarks, and priorities. The article examines mechanisms for aligning the interests of participants, the role of a planning coordinator, as well as approaches to analyzing internal and external environments aimed at identifying bottlenecks and growth points. Special attention is paid to the formation of a system of strategic priorities, along with resource and organizational mechanisms for their implementation.

Abstract: The article analyses key aspects of entrepreneurship development in Russia’s high-tech industries amid economic transformation. The primary focus is on internal practices of innovative companies, including the strategies of adaptation to uncertainty, project management, cooperation mechanisms, and human capital development. It also examines conceptual approaches to assessing the effectiveness of external support, emphasizing the need to shift to qualitative criteria, to consider the business lifecycle stages, and to ensure ecosystem balance. The study highlights the interdependence of internal and external factors in achieving technological sovereignty, economic diversification, and non-resource export growth.

Outlooks for industrial applications of alternative power engineering

Abstract: The article analyzes the prospects for applying alternative energy technologies in the industrial sector of the Russian economy. Author suggests her own definition of the term «alternative energy». Individual areas of alternative energy are examined, and optimal regions for their implementation are identified based on natural and climatic conditions. These areas include solar energy, wind energy, bioenergy, small hydropower, and geothermal energy. The economic and environmental effects achievable by transition of enterprises to generation based on renewable energy sources are highlighted.

Building a target function for analyzing the competitiveness of a project enterprise

Abstract: Based on a systematic approach to analyzing the activities of a project enterprise, a generalized objective function is suggested for business analysis of its competitiveness, the main components of the objective function are considered (namely: the quality of project products, the timing of the development of project documentation, the effectiveness of the organizational and technological structure of project production). The necessity and expediency of expanding the scope of the project organization’s activities within the framework of the investment and construction process to an integrated engineering enterprise are shown.

Abstract: Infrastructure is a very broad concept with social, economic, and industrial dimensions. Despite the significant theoretical capacity and multidimensionality, infrastructural issues in the Russian scientific literature are considered through the prism of applied problems, mainly related to housing and communal services or transport industry. This approach is actively projected onto the design of educational programs aimed at training or improving the skills of specialists to work with infrastructure projects (facilities). However, as global practice shows, focusing educational programs on narrow functional aspects of infrastructure creates a lack of employees’ knowledge in complex areas (for example, smart city infrastructure), related topics (such as financial aspects of infrastructure creation and development), or in innovative areas where infrastructure plays a special role (space industry).
The purpose of this study is to systematize the core characteristics of infrastructure, allowing it to be considered as a special sphere of socio-economic relations and to take this into account when developing academic disciplines for managers of industry, transport, public and local governments.

Abstract: In today’s complex international situation, ensuring the security of states is possible on the basis of the import independence of their industry as the basis of the country’s economy. This approach involves the creation of a complex of localized industries, primarily in the most vulnerable high-tech industries. In the practice of the leading countries of the world economy, there is experience in localization of production, however, in modern conditions, it is necessary to take into account the conditions prevailing in a particular country. In this regard, the article analyzes the current experience of the economies of the world’s leading countries in the field of localization of production in high-tech industries using the examples of China, the Russian Federation, and the United States.

Abstract: The article analyzes current trends in industrial development in Russia, including slowing growth and increasing stagnation, especially in civil engineering and knowledge-intensive industries. The key problem is the shortage of qualified personnel, which stimulates accelerated automation of production. The authors examine the historical experience of the USSR in the field of robotics, emphasizing its leadership in the 1970s and 1980s, as well as the reasons for the subsequent decline after the collapse of the country.
A correlation and regression analysis is carried out confirming the relationship between the level of robotics and technological development. Based on the data, it is concluded that for Russia to enter the top 25 countries in terms of robotics density by 2030, it is necessary to introduce more than 100 thousands industrial robots. Successful modern cases of introducing industrial robots are considered demonstrating the revival of domestic developments. The article emphasizes the need for a systematic approach to automation, including state support and restoration of lost competencies, to ensure technological sovereignty and competitiveness of the Russian industry.

Localization of production in high-tech sectors of Russian industry: practical case of nuclear power engineering

Abstract: In the current conditions of severe sanctions pressure on the Russian economy, the full-fledged development of high-tech industries in Russia is possible only if their import independence is ensured and requires localization of production. In order to use the positive experience of nuclear energy, which is an example of one of the most localized Russian industrial sectors, an analysis of its state has been performed. As a result of the research, the directions were identified and the main results of localization of production in the Russian nuclear power industry were characterized, and their impact on the development of the industry was analyzed. The results obtained can be used to implement the process of localization of production in other high-tech industries.
