Improving metal processing business processes based on the organizational and economic mechanism of platform coordination at metallurgical and mechanical engineering enterprises

Abstract: The study addresses the problem of coordinating a fragmented market for metalworking production services. The aim is to develop a conceptual and mathematical basis for an organizational and economic mechanism of platform coordination. The methodology combines two-sided market theory, studies of industrial digital platforms, cloud and shared manufacturing, models of manufacturing capability description, service matching, order allocation, and resource consumption accounting. The paper suggests a modular model that includes a digital order passport, a manufacturing capability profile, instant quotation, order-to-supplier matching, and allocation of orders across distributed capacity. The mathematical framework includes vector representations of the order and supplier, a compatibility predicate, a resource-based quotation formula, an idle capacity indicator, and an integer optimization model for order allocation. The results show that platform coordination should be interpreted not as a digital supplier directory, but as a mechanism for reducing information asymmetry, improving quotation transparency and increasing the rational use of distributed production capacity.

The sanctions factor in ensuring the economic security of Russian industrial enterprises

Abstract: This article examines the impact of external sanctions on the economic security of Russian industrial enterprises. The goals and objectives of anti-Russian sanctions imposed by unfriendly countries are analyzed, with an emphasis on their negative impact to the industrial sector. The negative effects (disruption of supply chains, technology blocking, logistical and payment restrictions) and potential positive consequences (import substitution, increased government support, and the formation of localized value chains) of sanctions are systematized. A proprietary index for an integrated assessment of the impact of sanctions to the economic security of industrial enterprises is suggested, considering specific indicators of import dependence, technological autonomy, financial stability, and market accessibility.

Abstract: This article examines and analyzes key development areas for high-tech industrial enterprises in the context of sanctions and the desire for technological independence. It emphasizes the need for the systemic approach to their development, integrating five interrelated areas: digital transformation, developing cooperative ties and cluster-based organizations, strengthening the resource base with the development of reliable supply chains, improving strategic planning and human resource. The combined implementation of these areas ensures sustainable economic growth and technological advancement for industrial enterprises in the context of sanctions.

Abstract: Introduction of the modern information technologies (IT) into production, sales, and logistics business processes of industrial enterprises is a priority area of development that has a positive impact not only on the industry, but also on other sectors of the Russian economy. Expansion of the production capacities of the material and technical base of the industrial enterprises, combined with the modern production and management technologies, creates the necessary conditions not only for the successful operation of the industry, but also for achieving industrial leadership in the new technological paradigm.
Digital transformation of the industrial enterprises involves radical changes in the products being created, business processes, and resources being used, which significantly alters the technological cycle of product manufacturing and requires a corresponding response from partners and other consumers within the unified supply chain. In today’s competitive environment, there is a need to rethink the entire lifecycle of their operations, management practices, and the use of IT, as well as to develop new tools and methods to successfully navigate the changing market dynamics.
In the current geopolitical situation, both significant growth and decline in industrial enterprises can be observed in the domestic industry. However, those enterprises that have adopted a course towards automation of their operations, including the use of smart devices and artificial intelligence, have been able to restructure their business successfully in response to global market changes. At the same time, those industrial enterprises that have not found the necessary resources to develop and implement IT and new management methods have either left the Russian market or are facing significant difficulties.

Abstract: The article presents the difficulties and challenges that arise when conducting research on the market of municipal equipment in the context of analyzing the possibilities of its conversion to gas-powered fuel. At first glance, the chosen research object, municipal equipment, seems to be the most suitable segment of cargo transport for conversion to gas-powered fuel, as the government’s influence on this segment is quite significant. However, during the research process, the authors encountered significant features of municipal equipment that complicated the research process.

Abstract: The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the problems associated with increasing energy saving and the use of renewable fuels in the current economic environment. The need for such research is driven by the goal of transitioning to a low-carbon development path in the face of global climate change and the depletion of conventional energy resources. The aim of the study is to identify the systemic barriers that hinder the widespread adoption of energy-efficient solutions and renewable energy generation, and to develop scientifically sound approaches to overcome these barriers. The study uses an interdisciplinary approach that includes system analysis techniques, economic and mathematical calculations, comparison of technological options, and cost assessment throughout the lifetime of energy complexes. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the technological capabilities of current renewable installations, the difficulties of integrating intermittent generating capacities into a unified power grid, the issues of electricity storage, and the creation of smart energy management systems. Economic aspects are also considered, including the problems of recouping investments in energy-efficient technologies, the disparity in prices for traditional and renewable energy sources, and the lack of sufficient government support mechanisms. Institutional barriers, such as the imperfect regulatory framework, the lack of unified standards and certification, and the shortage of qualified personnel, are also analyzed.
Based on the conducted research, a classification of barriers to the implementation of energy-efficient solutions has been developed, and a comprehensive model for overcoming these barriers has been suggested, which includes technological, economic, and regulatory tools. The results of the study demonstrate that achieving the goals of the energy transition requires synchronizing efforts to modernize technological infrastructure, improve economic incentives, and create an adequate institutional environment.
The scientific novelty of the work lies in the systematization of energy efficiency and renewable energy issues from the perspective of their interconnection and mutual influence, as well as in the development of an integrated approach to assessing the effectiveness of energy solutions, taking into account technical, economic, and environmental criteria. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of applying the results obtained for the formation of state energy policy, the development of corporate sustainable development strategies and justification of investment projects in the field of clean energy.

Abstract: The research examines the global drone light shows market and its outlook to 2030. The study addresses several key issues. First, it estimates the future market size by comparing forecasts from multiple sources. Second, it analyses the competitive environment of drone shows by comparing the market parameters and size with fireworks and laser shows. Third, it defines criteria for selecting target markets by a region and a segment. Finally, it determines the most potential directions for development and segments for Russian companies.
The findings show that market benchmarks published by market research agencies vary significantly. To achieve a more balanced and reliable outlook, the study applies a consensus-based forecasting approach. A competitive analysis reveals that drone shows form a distinct niche competing with fireworks and laser shows. Their strengths lie in technological sophistication and highly expressive visual effects, while cost, operational requirements and regulations remain the main constraints. The study suggests a set of market-selection criteria, which includes not only potential demand, but also competitive pressure, market access and barriers to enter the market. A comprehensive assessment identifies high-potential countries and the most strategic market segments. The analysis also highlights regional and country-specific variations in types of the shows and application areas.
The findings of this research may support drone light show operators, new companies entering the drone light show market, and manufacturers of the unmanned aerial vehicles in identifying target segments, developing specialized platforms, and focusing on expansion into high-potential markets.
